I personally think Israel’s been very reckless, leading with its rage, which is nothing if not understandable after Oct 7.

This isn’t a question of “Hamas being more to blame”. This is Hamas’ strategy. I mean, as soon as Israel pulled back recently, reports start emerging of Hamas persecution of Palestinians as everyone starts moving around the enclave a little more freely.

Hamas will fight Israel to the last Palestinian, and Palestinian supporters cheering for them are not really Palestinian supporters. Hamas is the primary source of the enclave’s misery imo.

But make no mistake - they turned the IDF into their most potent weapon. The IDF has been doing Hamas’ wet work for them. Hard to make the case Israel’s not being reckless after the WCK tragedy, even if you get their rage. But the greater problem is that from the moment Hamas attacked in Oct, Bibi’s been doing exactly as they want. How many new militants have they manufactured for every one killed?
